At Rajhans Group, we believe that true service to humanity begins at home. We actively encourage our employees to engage in initiatives that support the underprivileged and uplift communities around us. From establishing crèches for the children of on-site labourers to developing full-fledged housing colonies, our commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility is evident not just in words, but in meaningful actions. Through our pioneering efforts in providing educational support and accessible healthcare, we strive to enhance the quality of life for those in need. Because for us, there is no greater fulfilment than bringing smiles and adding wings of happiness to society.
The workforce is what makes a difference to a company. And there is no better day to celebrate the spirit of workmanship than Labour Day itself. At Rajhans Group, we understand the importance of our workforce. Thus, we conduct sessions every year on “General Awareness Training on Health & Safety.” These sessions enable the staff and workers at our various construction sites to gain knowledge about health and safety.
Construction, being a rapidly growing industry in the nation, demands a healthy and competent workforce on a large scale. This session adds impetus to construction workers by highlighting the benefits of health and safety.
A safe work environment in construction is essential and required by the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA). Making workers aware of hazards, safety procedures, and accident prevention can help reduce injuries among workers. The training supports employees by providing guidelines that help them prevent various hazardous accidents at the site.
Safety training in construction covers a wide range of topics. These include the correct storage of materials, stacking items, and using machinery to move materials. In addition to these, the session also highlights the importance of fall prevention systems and the precautions needed in different situations—one of which is avoiding near-miss situations.
Since construction sites often involve working on tall high rises, roofs, and scaffolding, workers are prone to falls. Thus, the session also emphasizes the use of safety helmets and safety shoes on-site. It also educates workers on the various safety methods for moving materials, machines, and manpower from one building to another.
The sessions conclude with the distribution of sweets to the workers. Needless to say, a healthy and strong workforce ensures healthy growth for the organization.
To shed light on the rising global disturbances, the United Nations Environment Programme paved the way for World Environment Day in 1973. Over the years, this initiative has highlighted various environmental issues across different locations around the world.
What emerged is the realisation that global issues can only be resolved when change begins at the grassroots level. A true revolution can occur only when every individual steps forward to play their part.
As a socially responsible organisation, Rajhans Group launched an awareness campaign from 1st to 20th June 2013 in Surat City, India, to contribute to addressing this global challenge. We firmly believe that global food loss is one of the most pressing issues facing the international community, and that decisive action must be taken to curb this ever-growing concern.
The campaign theme offered us both an opportunity and a platform to raise awareness in the fight against global food loss and waste. We found a noble message in the three words – ‘Think. Eat. Save.’ Through this campaign, we sought to bring positive change to people’s lives. Our aim was to inspire action – to encourage individuals to think before wasting food, as what one saves could help feed many who go hungry.
As the group continues to scale new heights, we also remain committed to playing a significant role in creating a cleaner and greener environment. And what better way to start than by spreading awareness on the theme ‘Think. Eat. Save.’ for World Environment Day 2013? After all, when everyone contributes a little, it creates a meaningful difference for all.
Rajhans Group takes one more step to protect the environment and our Mother Earth on ‘World Environment Day’ by planting trees every year.
To keep the world clean and green, we started at home and continue spreading this message by planting trees at our corporate office, all project sites, and branches. The task of protecting the environment is a universal responsibility for all of us. Every contribution counts in this initiative. Through this, we make an important gesture to the world, demonstrating our global concern, while also making our own small yet significant contribution to the cause.
